Nationally prices are on the rise. This graphic shows you how Median Home Prices have gone up. Here in Maine prices are moving up much slower than other areas of the country. The reason is because Maine is a judicial state, meaning foreclosures have to go through the court system to be finalized. This slows the process and in turn there are more low priced houses still on the market. Other states are going through the foreclosure inventory quicker and starting to see prices rise more rapidly. Any forward progress is welcoming news.
