Westbrook is a suburb of Portland, enjoying easy access to the larger city’s amenities with the benefits of suburban living. The economy was originally dominated by the S. D. Warren Paper Mill, and later primarily supportive of Portland’s booming economy. However contemporary Westbrook has a growing economic base of its own, with two industrial parks and several large employers calling Westbrook home, along with over 18,000 residents.
